Two pedestrians struck by car after nightclub altercation in Mainz-Kastel
A violent incident unfolded outside a nightclub in Mainz-Kastel early on Thursday morning. Two men, believed to be around 25 years old, rammed their car into two pedestrians after an altercation. The attack left the victims with minor injuries before the suspects fled the scene.
The trouble began just before 4:50 a.m. when the two men, driving a red compact car, became involved in a confrontation outside the club. They then accelerated aggressively across the parking lot, striking two pedestrians with the vehicle’s side mirror.
Their escape was short-lived. Speeding through the streets, they reached the intersection of Anna-Birle-Straße and Peter-Sander-Straße, where they drove over a traffic island. The impact severely damaged their car, forcing them to abandon it. The pair then continued their escape on foot. Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact the criminal police in Wiesbaden.
The two pedestrians suffered only minor injuries in the attack. Authorities continue to search for the suspects, who remain at large. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
