Veteran-led patrols tighten security in Vladivostok with swift results

Joint patrols by police and the Tigr-Law and Order squad have stepped up public safety efforts in Vladivostok. The initiative, led by veterans of Russia's special military operation, has already resulted in multiple detentions and administrative penalties in the past week alone.

The Tigr-Law and Order squad was formed in Primorsky Territory under the direction of Governor Oleg Kozhemyako. Its members, all veterans, have been working alongside local police to monitor compliance with immigration and public order laws.

Last week, the team checked the documents of around 200 people. Four foreign nationals received citations for breaching immigration rules. In total, law enforcement filed 21 reports for administrative offences. The patrols also led to the detention of 12 individuals, who were taken to police stations for further questioning. Additionally, two suspects linked to alleged drug trafficking were identified in Vladivostok's Pervomaisky District. Primorsky Territory has since become the first Russian region to establish *Safe Primorye*, a state institution modelled on the squad's operational methods. The move aims to strengthen regional security using the experience gained from these joint patrols.

The increased patrols have already shown measurable results, with detentions, citations, and reports filed within days. The creation of Safe Primorye suggests the region is formalising this approach, potentially setting a precedent for similar initiatives elsewhere in Russia.
