Viersen's mayor launches creative office hours—including bike rides with residents

Viersen’s mayor, Christoph Hopp, has announced a series of special office hours for residents. These sessions will include traditional appointments, themed slots for young people, and even meetings on bicycles. Registration opens in May, with details to follow soon. The first event takes place on May 21, with eight 15-minute slots available between 5 PM and 7 PM. Residents must book in advance from May 11 to May 20 by emailing an 'Appointment Request' along with a contact number. Those without email can call a dedicated phone line instead. Supporting documents can be sent ahead via email, post, or the city’s mailbox.

A **children and youth-focused session** will run on **November 24** from 3 PM to 5 PM. Further instructions, including registration steps, will be shared later. Later in the summer, the mayor will host **'Office Hours on Wheels'** on **July 31 and August 7** from 3 PM to 6 PM. Residents can either cycle alongside him or meet at set stops along the route. As with all sessions, participants must state their discussion topic when booking.

More information on each event will be released shortly. Registration is required for all appointments, whether in person, on wheels, or during youth hours. The mayor’s team will confirm final arrangements closer to the dates.
