YAKUTIA.INFO. Aisen Nikolayev, the head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), has announced several new personnel appointments within the Administration of the Head and Government of Yakutia via his channel on the Max messaging app.

Alexander Uvarov, previously an aide to the head of the republic, has now been appointed to lead the Department of Domestic Policy and Local Self-Government.

His former position has been filled by Vasily Ivanov, the former chairman of the Youth Chamber under the Yakutsk City Duma.

Yegor Petrov, known for his role as director of the Regional Center for Productive Labor Competencies, has been named the new head of the Department of Public Administration.

Anton Vasilyev, chairman of the Youth Parliament under the republic's parliament (Il Tumen), will now head the Department of Information Policy and Mass Communications.

Some observers have noted a trend in Il Darkhan's decisions toward appointing young politicians to key positions overseeing domestic policy, regional engagement, and media relations.

Meanwhile, journalist Vitaly Obedin has indirectly referred to the new appointees as "Aisen Nikolayev's boys," implying they are merely technical figures with little real influence.

"Back in 2016, while working at Vecherka, I noticed the personnel policy of then-Yakutia head Yegor Borisov, who recruited young officials only to reshuffle them with unsettling ease. I called them 'Yegor Borisov's boys.' Is Aisen Sergeyevich now following in his predecessor's footsteps?" he commented on the appointments.
