Armed robbery at Berlin gas station leaves employee shaken but unharmed
An armed robbery took place at a gas station in Berlin’s Märkisches Viertel early on Wednesday. The incident occurred just after midnight, leaving the 25-year-old employee unharmed but shaken. Police have launched an investigation into the crime. The robbery unfolded at around 12:40 a.m. on Wilhelmsruher Damm. An unknown assailant entered the station, brandished a firearm, and threatened the worker. Under duress, the employee was forced to open the cash register, allowing the suspect to take an undisclosed sum of money.
The attacker then fled the scene in an unknown direction. No immediate arrests were made, and the suspect remains at large. A specialised unit from Police Directorate 1 (North) is now handling the case. Authorities continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses.
