Elderly woman's wallet stolen in Bielefeld clothing store heist
A 65-year-old woman from Bielefeld had her wallet stolen while shopping on Bahnhofstraße. The theft happened inside a clothing store between Jahnplatz and Stresemannstraße around 6:30 p.m. She only noticed the missing wallet later and immediately reported it to police. The woman was browsing the store when the thief took her wallet from her handbag. Her purse remained inside the bag, but the wallet was gone without her realising. By the time she checked, the thief had already left.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities are now asking anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area to come forward. Witnesses should contact Criminal Investigation Division 33 with any information.
The victim has filed a formal criminal complaint over the stolen wallet. Police continue to gather details about the theft. Anyone with relevant information is urged to assist the investigation.
