Luxury Berlin store hit by audacious smash-and-grab car heist
A luxury fashion store in Berlin’s Charlottenburg district was targeted in a late-night smash-and-grab raid. An unknown assailant used a car to break into the shop before fleeing with high-end handbags. The incident took place just before 11:00 p.m. on Saturday near Olivaer Platz. The attacker drove onto the pavement outside the store on Kurfürstendamm. Reversing at speed, they smashed through the locked entrance in a deliberate act of forced entry. Once inside, the suspect grabbed several premium handbags and loaded them into the trunk of the vehicle.
Witnesses reported the car speeding away toward Zoologischer Garten. Police confirmed no arrests have been made, and the assailant remains unidentified. Authorities are still assessing the value of the stolen goods and the full extent of the damage caused to the property.
The case is being treated as a smash-and-grab burglary. Investigations are ongoing, but the suspect and the stolen merchandise have not yet been recovered. Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
