Motorcyclist critically injured in Berlin A 111 highway collision
A motorcyclist was injured in a traffic accident in Charlottenburg-Nord yesterday afternoon. According to initial findings, the 20-year-old was riding in the center lane between the right and left lanes of the A 111 federal highway near the Heckerdamm exit and the Charlottenburg interchange shortly before 5 p.m. when traffic was slow-moving. He collided with a 38-year-old driver's Volvo traveling in the left lane, lost control, and then skidded into a 35-year-old's Volkswagen in the right lane.
Emergency responders rushed the 20-year-old to a hospital with multiple fractures for inpatient treatment. The accident scene was completely closed from 5:10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. while authorities conducted their investigation. The case has since been handed over to the specialized traffic crimes unit of Police Directorate 2 (West).
