Wolfsburg: Timber Bridge to Be Replaced Starting Next Monday
Wolfsburg's aging wooden bridge to close for three-week replacement
The city of Wolfsburg has announced that a wooden bridge near Gaußstraße and Semmelweisring will be replaced due to age-related deterioration. According to a press release, the structure will first be dismantled, followed by repairs to the supports, embankments, and angled braces.
Work Begins Monday—Detour Signs in Place
Prefabricated timber components will then be installed on-site, and the surrounding areas will be repaved with asphalt. The project is scheduled to run from April 27 to May 15, with a clearly marked detour in place for the duration.
