Magadan Governor Honors Region's Legacy on May Day Address

Governor Sergei Nosov addressed the Magadan Region on May Day, honouring the contributions of its people. His speech recognised both historical resilience and current efforts in regional growth and military support. Speaking on Spring and Labor Day, Nosov emphasised the holiday’s importance to the region. He reflected on the enduring strength of Kolyma’s residents, particularly their sacrifices during the Great Patriotic War.

The governor also acknowledged the area’s ongoing role in national efforts, including the special military operation. He noted that Magadan, the regional capital, holds the title 'City of Labor Valor'—a distinction earned through decades of hard work and dedication.

Nosov’s address tied the region’s past struggles to its present contributions. The recognition of Kolyma’s people underscores their continued impact on both local development and broader national priorities.
