Truck crashes into car at red light on Federal Highway 6

Linsburg. A traffic accident occurred on Thursday on Federal Highway 6 (B6) toward Hanover, near the Meinkingsburg intersection. One person sustained minor injuries, according to a statement from the Nienburg/Schaumburg police department.

A 40-year-old truck driver from Luckenwalde was traveling along the B6 from the direction of Nienburg in his semi-trailer. At a red traffic light, he failed to notice a 46-year-old woman from Linsburg waiting ahead of him in her Škoda. The collision that followed resulted in the 46-year-old suffering minor injuries.

She declined medical treatment at the scene.

After documenting the accident with photos, the parties involved moved their vehicles from the intersection. Both vehicles sustained property damage estimated at a total of around €11,000.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
